To cap off a successful select basketball season, adidas hosted their annual 3 Stripes All American Camp with the top 40 adidas players in the country. The camp was put on under the direction of JC Hulls, Bryce Bow, and Rex Reinholt along with special guest former Lady Vol Sidney Spencer.
On opening night, campers were treated to a bag full of Adidas gear along with a question and
answer session with Sidney Spencer about expectations at the college level, the experience of playing for Pat Summit, and a first hand glimpse at making basketball a career at the pro level.
Day two of the camp got rolling with a morning skills session, which was filled with team shooting competitions and station work on footwork. After a quick lunch, the girls got a private tour of the CNN headquarters in downtown Atlanta, where players got to meet CNN Student News anchor Carlos Azuz. The Coke headquarters was next on the agenda for the campers, where they got to see how Coca-Cola makes their drinks plus try over 100 flavors of Coke. Dinner was served at the world famous Gladys Knight & Ron’s Chick and Waffles Restaurant.
After a solid nights rest, the final day of camp started with offensive and defensive position work before the games commenced. Players were divided into four teams and were able to show off their skills in two games each. The games were very competitive as players were playing for bragging rights.
