On Saturday, April 11, 2015, Elevate USA hosted the inaugural Elevate Girls Individual Showcase in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana. The individual showcase provided players with the opportunity to learn about the recruiting process and demonstrate their talents in front of scouting services like Premier Basketball Report. The camp had a wide range of young talent that will be on the Premier Basketball radar for years to come. Here are some of the top players from the showcase:
2018 — 5’11 — Kourtney Weber: Weber is a long wing and forward combo who showed an ability to face up and take bigger defenders off the dribble. She uses a jab-step well to setup her drive and can consistently knock down the long two. Defensively, she can guard multiple positions and can rebound then lead the fast break.
2017 — 5’7 — Chelsea Smith: Smith is a solid point guard who shoots the three well off the catch and coming off a ball screen. She can break down her defender and hit the open teammate off the drive. When she wants to compete defensively, she can pester the ball handler and get after the passing lanes.
2019 — 6’3 — Kennedi Jackson: Jackson is a young post prospect who will only get better with more time spent on the court. She showed good hands and a willingness to run the floor and rebound. She does a good job of using her length on the defensive end and contesting the drive without fouling.
2020 — 5’3 — Kourtne Lee: Lee is a fundamental point guard who held her own against older competition. She started out timid but as the camp went along, her confidence grew. She is good in transition and will knock down the three pointer.
