On June 20-21, 2015, Premier Basketball Report partnered with Club Pioneros to host the first annual PBR Mexico Challenge in Tehuacan, Mexico. Teams and players from around the state of Puebla and Oaxaca drove hundreds of miles to showcase their talent in front of PBR in hopes of one day traveling to the United States to attend high school or college and play basketball.
Over 80 players seized the opportunity to play in the PBR Mexico Challenge, including the Club Pioneros U17 boys teams. They have multiple young players with real potential if they continue to develop their game over the coming years. Puebla Bulls also had a couple of NAIA players that will be looking to come to the states in the coming years.
On the girls side, Club Pioneros U16 girls has a couple 2018s that have a conceivable future at the college level by the time they graduate. Puebla All-Stars have a point guard and a wing that will be looking for JUCO opportunities in the coming year.
All evaluations from the PBR Mexico Challenge will be entered into the PBR Global database for our college subscribers.
