 Aaliyah Chavez

Monterey HS (TX)

CY Fair

Chavez is the best player in the country right now at the grassroots level. Her high production coupled with her impressive efficiency and consistency really set her apart. Her challenge this summer will be facing a multitude of defenses and the physicality they undoubtably will try to bring to combat her production prowess. Can she help elevate the play of those around her to help balance the heavy load that will be July and the road to Nike Nationals?

Destinations in July: Louisville, Chicago (EYBL)

Chavez is the best player in the country right now at the grassroots level. Her high production coupled with her impressive efficiency and consistency really set her apart. Her challenge this summer will be facing a multitude of defenses and the physicality they undoubtably will try to bring to combat her production prowess. Can she help elevate the play of those around her to help balance the heavy load that will be July and the road to Nike Nationals? Her game has shades of Sabrina Ionescu and Caitlin Clark stylistically – both of whom took their teams to Nike National Championships (2015 and 2018, respectively).

Destinations in July: Louisville, Chicago (EYBL)

Chavez was apparently unavailable for comment, but per her Instagram as of October 1, 2023 she has narrowed down her recruitment to 10 schools – Texas Tech, USC, Arizona, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, UCLA, Texas, and Tennessee.

She has made Unofficial Visits to Texas Tech, Texas, and LSU.

CEREBRO SPORTS AI ANALYSIS: Aaliyah Chavez is a dynamic and high-impact player who has consistently delivered strong performances in various Nike EYBL sessions. Her scoring ability is particularly impressive, as evidenced by her high PSP scores and points per game (PTS/G) across different events. Aaliyah has demonstrated exceptional scoring prowess, especially in the 2024 Houston session where she averaged 28.8 points per game. She excels in 3-point shooting, with 3PE scores consistently high, including a standout 103.6 in the 2024 Houston session. Chavez has a high usage rate, suggesting she is a focal point in the offense for her team. Aaliyah Chavez’s well-rounded skill set and consistent performance make her a valuable player with significant impact on both ends of the court.

Jazzy Davidson

Clackamas HS (OR)

Cal Stars

Davidson is the do-it-all guard who still has a high ceiling to reach as she continues to add strength to her slim frame. With that strength will come more aggressiveness – which at times can appear to be less than expected as she has deferred to others occasionally. She knows how good of a playmaker she is and she has been working on the vocal leadership and the lead by example drive – which we will see more of in July. The main thing we will look for is an increase in her three-point efficiency which will give her some added scoring punch. She shot the ball better with the U18 team than in the Hampton EYBL session, but the competition will be stiffer on the road to Nike Nationals.

Destinations in July: Louisville, Chicago (EYBL)

Thoughts going into July:

“With the Stars I’ve been focusing on a position I’ve never played before – point guard. So, learning to take care of everyone on the court and my biggest leap of growth has been in leadership. I’ve been working on my body, adding strength. I’m looking forward to our growth as a team and trying to win Nike Nationals and enjoying my last weeks of [club] basketball.”

Schools Considering: USC, UCLA, Duke, UConn, TCU, Texas

Completed Official Visits: USC and LSU

CEREBRO SPORTS AI ANALYSIS: Jasmine Davidson is a high-impact player with standout performances across various events. She consistently displays strong defensive skills, reflected in her high Defensive Statistical Impact (DSI) scores, especially in the 2024 Nike EYBL and FIBA-W Americas U18. Her game shows versatility with scoring, rebounding, and assisting abilities, making her a well-rounded player with a high RAM score, particularly notable in the Nike EYBL sessions.

Aaliyah Crump

Minnetonka (MN)

All Iowa Attack

Destinations in July: Louisville, Chicago (EYBL)

The biggest thing with Crump is her efficiency – she can be a bit volume-ish at times. She is an all-around threat offensively and has produced and displayed all of the requisite skills of a star player. As the efficiency and facilitation skills rise, watch out for her box scores to look more impressive. Defensively and rebounding-wise, she can add some impact – and All Iowa will need it with Addison Bjorn gone with Team USA U17.

Thoughts going into July:

“I’m taking pride in on-ball defense as I have been playing against more high-level players. I want to make sure I can contribute in all aspects of the game – reads and decision making. I want my shot to be more consistent and get to my mid-range more efficiently and physically.”

Completed Official Visits: Notre Dame, Ohio State, UNC, Duke, Texas, UCLA

Finalists: Ohio State, Duke, Texas

CEREBRO SPORTS AI ANALYSIS: Aaliyah Crump is a versatile player known for her consistent performance across various youth leagues. She showcases strong perimeter shooting, as highlighted by her 3PE scores, particularly in the Nike EYBL sessions. Her RAM and C-RAM scores indicate a well-rounded player with significant contributions in multiple areas, including scoring, rebounding, and assisting. Her defensive skills are also notable, especially in the FIBA-W Americas event. Aaliyah has the capability to impact games with her scoring ability and defensive presence, making her a valuable asset to her teams.

Divine Bourrage

Davenport North (IA)

Example Sports

Bourrage can flat out fill it up. She had an exceptional summer last year shooting the ball, and a return to that level would solidify a lot of things for her. When she is pushing the ball and distributing by getting paint touches and spraying to teammates, she is at her best. She has the backcourt teammates of Destiny Jackson and Shania James so they should be able to turn some defense into offense and attack off the bounce accordingly as a unit. She can be an elite combo type, but the challenge is her reading the room as a game progresses and discerning which role to play and how to attack accordingly.

Destinations in July: Indianapolis (Hoosier Heat/Under Armour), Cincinnati (Under Armour)

Thoughts going into July:

“What I would like to accomplish this last session is winning the UAA finals, and just playing to my best ability. I’ve seen growth and improvement in my maturity overall.”

Finalists: Arizona, Illinois, South Carolina, LSU, Virginia Tech, Baylor (Plans to take Official Visits to all.)

CEREBRO SPORTS AI ANALYSIS: Divine Bourrage is a versatile and impactful player known for her strong performance in high school and club basketball. She demonstrates an impressive scoring ability, as showcased by her high PSP and 3PE scores, particularly in the 2023-24 Iowa IAHSAA Class 5A event. Her RAM and C-RAM scores highlight her overall contributions and efficiency across different events. Divine Bourrage also excels in defensive metrics, with significant contributions in steals and blocks, making her a well-rounded player with a strong presence on both ends of the court.

Agot Makeer

Crestwood Prep (CAN)

Kia Nurse Elite | U17 Canada

Makeer is one of the most intriguing prospects of the last calendar year and has skyrocketed up the ranks because of it – particularly when she went on a heater from three-point land during the HS season. She can be the primary scorer or be the lead guard who facilitates. She is lengthy – which aides her defensively and on the glass. As she continues to work on adding strength to a slim frame, she will continue to get better around the rim. She can clean things up a little bit in the turnover department, but we are nitpicking here because she can be truly elite for a long time to come.

Destination in July: Playing for Canada U17 Women’s World Cup – Irapuato and Leon, Mexico | July 13-21

Thoughts going into July:

“A lot of what I’m working on is being more physical right now. My biggest focus is on my body right now – getting stronger and completely healthy. I’m looking forward to the experience of playing international basketball.”

Schools Considering: Michigan State, UCLA, UConn, North Carolina, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Michigan, Duke, Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Vanderbilt

She shared, “What I’m looking for in a program is the environment around the team and the culture of teammates, coaching staff, and overall support.”

Completed Official Visits: Michigan State, Iowa State, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech (In the process of scheduling more Official Visits)

CEREBRO SPORTS AI ANALYSIS: Agot Makeer is a versatile and impactful player who has showcased her talents in multiple Nike EYBL sessions. Her scores across various metrics, including RAM and C-RAM, highlight her overall contributions and efficiency on the court. Agot has demonstrated strong scoring ability and she showcases strong rebounding effort, particularly in the 2024 Des Moines session, averaging 7.6 rebounds per game. Her ability to contribute across multiple areas including points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks makes her a valuable asset for her team.
