The PBT Battle of the Puebla Classic was held May 2-3, 2015 in Round Rock, TX. Below are some of the players that really stood out at the tournament:
Angela Harris (Texas Elite Adidas Crazy Fast): is a 5’6” 2016 guard; a terrific all-around point guard, she distributes the ball well and can score in the paint with a variety of runners and short jumpers, as well as a knock down three-point shot. Harris is a feisty competitive defender who does an excellent job pressuring the ball.
Brooke Holle (Texas Elite Adidas 17u Christian GATA): is a 5’7” 2016 guard; she is an underrated athlete who finishes well and attacks the basket relentlessly. Holle gets to the free throw line consistently and is a high percentage free throw shooter. She is also a force on the defensive end guarding the passing lanes.
Brogan Jones (Texas Elite Adidas Crazy Fast): is a 6’3” 2016 forward; a rebounding machine on both ends of the floor, she is an energetic player who competes on every possession. Jones does a great job finishing through contact and making free throws.
Twillessa Shipman (Texas Elite Adidas 17u Central): is a 5’7” 2016 guard; she is a lefty who finishes well through contact. Shipman attacks the basket relentlessly and is an efficient free throw shooter.
Sara Williams (Texas Elite Adidas Crazy Fast): is a 5’6” 2016 guard; she is an extremely quick ball handler with excellent court vision. Williams knocks down the corner three, making her a tough cover. She has very fast hands defensively, leading to a large number of deflections and steals.
Aly Gamez (UTLB Elite): is a 5’7” 2017 guard; she is shifty ball handler who shoots well from the three and mid-range. Gamez consistently took opposing guards to the basket and finished over and through contact. She can take and pass with either hand and is a crafty defender who plays the passing lanes well. Gamez is a well-rounded, up and coming prospect in the 2017 class.
Alexis Worley (SA Islanders Black): is a 6’3” 2017 post; she finishes well with either hand down low and has a nice touch out to the free throw line. Worley showed a couple of new weapons in her arsenal: a drop step with the left hand and finishing through contact on multiple occasions. As she continues to gain strength, she will be a rising star in the 2017 class.
Halei Wortham (Texas Elite Adidas 16u Jones): is a 5’7” 2017 guard; she is a steady three-point shooter and can take it to the hole and finish with either hand. Wortham consistently makes good decisions with the ball.

Deja Kelly (South Texas Hoyas Blue): is a 5’8” 2020 point guard; she was playing with and against prospects three to four years older than her, but still controlling the game from her position. Kelly has strong handles, scores well from the mid-range and finishes through and over contact with consistency. She can see the floor and knows how to get the ball to right teammate at the right time. Kelly is a high level prospect in the 2020 class.
