In the 2016 club season, Premier Basketball will be hosting the inaugural season of the Premier Basketball League Series (PBLS), which will bring together up-and-coming programs from around the country to compete for the championship. Team Oklahoma has supported Premier Basketball for years and will continue to do so this season by playing in the PBLS.
Shane Wagner with Team Oklahoma shared his enthusiasm towards the PBLS: “we are excited to be a part of a first class organization that has great events and is well known around the country. Coaches respect how events are put on, and teams love playing in events that are organized with a great turnout of coaches. We couldn’t be happier to be invited and for our players to be a part of these events.”
Team Oklahoma has successfully prepared numerous players for college basketball, including Andi Pierce at Western Illinois, Carly Frymire at Northern Oklahoma Central-Enid, Alix Robinson at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Amanda Hart and Ashlie Rose at Oklahoma Wesleyan, Nicole Middleton and Taylor Hedrick at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, plus Haylie Hoffman and Alyssa Cox at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
Team Oklahoma will be lead by 2017s McKenna Kirkpatrick, Addi Meeker, and Taber Beer on their top team in the 2016 summer club season. “McKenna Kirkpatrick is a shooting guard with a scorer’s mentality who can light it up. Addi Meeker is an aggressive combo guard who helps on the boards. Taber Beer is a play making combo guard who is a coach’s kid,” Wagner added.
The future is bright for Team Oklahoma with 2019s Regan Crawford, Carly Miller and Macy McClendon. Wagner further commented, “Regan Crawford is an athletic combo guard who can shoot the three plus create the pull up. Carly Miller can play all five positions with her ability to handle the ball and knock down the three. Macy McClendon is a wing/forward with an offensive mindset who can score from anywhere.”
